Meetings & Conference Rentals at DePaul

Cancellations:

In the event of a cancellation your deposit will not be refunded. Cancellations must be sent in writing to the Event Coordinator of the space you are canceling. This can be done by email, fax, or in person.

Maximum Capacities:

The fire code capacities of each room are based on the setup of that space. These can be found at the About Meeting Facilities page and will be strictly enforced. This limit is in place to protect the safety of you and your guests.  Under no circumstance can the DePaul University Student Centers accommodate more than those maximums stated above.

Catering:

Chartwells is the exclusive caterer of DePaul University. Under no cicumstance will outside caterers be allowed to cater your event. Please contact Chartwells at www.depaulcatering.com for more information about menus, pricing, and policies.

Rental Periods:

When making your reservations please consider any additional time you will need for set up and tear down. You will need to calculate those times into your request and they are considered a part of the rental time and cost of space.

Summer Conference:

Summer Conferences at DePaul are defined as those events taking place from late June through July 31 and require overnight accomodations. Please see information about summer conferences.

Parking:

Parking arrangements can be made to utilize DePaul University's parking structure(s), at an additional cost. For additional information, please contact the Student Centers Event Coordinator.

Equipment Included in Rental of Cortelyou Commons:

All setup is arranged in advance with the Event Coordinator so that when you arrive the room is already set up ready for your event. Please note that for insurance purposes clients are not able to move furniture themselves.
- In house round tables (where available)
- In house chairs
- In house rectangular tables (mostly 6')

Other Info:

- The Cortelyou Commons, Munroe Hall and Student Center are both non-smoking facilities.

- Birdseed, rice, flower petals, confetti, or any decoration smaller than 2" x 2" may not be thrown anywhere in the facillities. Additional charges will be assessed for unusually heavy cleaning or damages following any event.

- Open flame candles are not to be used in any facility, well enclosed tea light candles in votives must first be approved by the Event Coordinator of the Student Center.

Please note: The use of University facilities by both internal and external clients should reflect or be compatible with DePaul's values as a Catholic and Vincentian University.  The University reserves the right to reject rental inquiries from groups whose stated purpose is contrary to the mission of the University.

Welcome to DePaul University's Summer Conference Program! If you are looking for a place to host a small meeting for a few days or if you are interested in hosting a conference for several hundred people, DePaul University is happy to help you plan a very successful event. Our campus is welcoming and inviting. Our meeting facilities can handle all types of events and are very modern. Our staff is friendly and accommodating and are here to serve you and your guests. 2. Our Goal

Our goal is to provide you modern facilities that will accommodate the sleeping and meeting needs of your conference. Our staff will be warm and welcoming and will help you find your way around campus and around Lincoln Park. Our event planning team will help you plan your meetings and events down to the last detail. Our dining services team will satisfy all your dining and catering needs. We want you and your conference guests to have a wonderful conference experience at DePaul and we will try to do everything we can to make that happen.

3. About Us

DePaul University is home to all types of summer conference, meetings and camps during the summer months. We can host small groups of several people as well as large conferences of several hundred people. Our meeting rooms can accommodate all types of events from banquets to lectures to meetings. Our sleeping rooms can accommodate any number of people to groups as large as several hundred people.

4. Facilities and Locations

Meeting Facilities
DePaul's largest of four campuses is located in Lincoln Park, in the heart of Chicago. The campus is located just minutes from downtown Chicago. The campus us nestled in the Lincoln Park area and is surrounded by shopping, restaurants and residential neighborhoods. Follow this link to view Lincoln Park Campus map.

Sleeping Rooms
Our sleeping rooms are located in two, very modern Residential Housing Facilities on Campus. These buildings are located just steps away from the Student Center, where the majority of our meeting rooms are located. We offer single and double occupancy sleeping rooms that are air conditioned. All rooms are connected by a shared bathroom, in a suite arrangement. Rooms are furnished with a bed, desk and closet.

5. Summer Conference Resources

While you stay at DePaul, we can offer you a variety of resources across campus.

Dining on Campus
Chartwells is the exclusive provider of dining services for DePaul University. They can work with you to provide for your every dining need from elegant catered meals to hot buffet service in the Student Center Dining Area.

Fitness on Campus
The Ray Meyer Fitness and Recreation Center offers the opportunity for conference guests to exercise in DePaul's premiere fitness facility. The Ray Meyer center offers strength training equipment, basketball courts, a running tack and a swimming pool.

Business on Campus
The Campus Copy Center located on the first floor of the Student Center can assist with all your business needs from copying to faxing. Also, there are public computers that can be accessed by conference guests to check emails, browse the internet and work on other business needs.
