Types of Meeting Events
University-Related Event:
A University-related event is one that is internally sponsored and led by a department, faculty member, student organization, or employee of DePaul for some benefit to the DePaul community. University functions are normally exempt from room rental, facility set-up, and/or audio-visual fees. (See: Special Conditions)
1. Special Conditions:
- Department, faculty, and employee events requiring registration payment and/or admission costs to attend will be subject to room rental costs.
- Student organizations holding fee related events in support of their organization may be subjected to rental fee.
- All events providing food must be catered through Chartwells.
University Co-Sponsored Event:A University co-sponsored function is one that is led or supported by the University, a department, or faculty member in which the DePaul community derives a benefit and the entire university community is welcomed.
1. Special Conditions:
- Any department, faculty member or employee co-sponsoring an event with an outside organization is responsible for providing an internal liaison to handle special needs for the event. Conference Center staff will assist the internal liaison only with any event planning needs.
- Any co-sponsored event must supply Conference Center with all advertisement, i.e., flyers, programs, brochures, and websites to ensure compliance with time and place requirements.
- Any events requiring registration payment and/or admission costs to attend are subject to room rental costs.
- Internal departments and schools that receive payments from co-sponsored groups are subject to rental costs.
- All events providing food must be catered through Chartwells.
- Events that are in competition/conflict with a DePaul University program or course are prohibited.
Non-University Event:A non-university event is one that has no affiliation/association with the University. Non-university functions are charged at prevailing room rental fees.

- All events providing food must be catered through Chartwells.

All standard room equipment/amenities included in price are: chalkboards or whiteboards, a standard overhead projector, and podium.
Room rates reflect regular hours of 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Based on availability evening hours are from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. All events must end as scheduled or otherwise approved by Conference Services. External events that extend beyond their end time will be charged at a rate of $50.00 per half hour.

Price discounts may be applicable given the nature and cost of co-sponsored events.

All rooms are equipped with and without technology, yet available for rental at an additional cost.
